In my own practice, instead of classical liposuction, I use the most up-to-date and modern application Microaire, which is the PAL (Power assisted liposuction) technique. At the same time, we reduce the possibility of complications by confirming that I stay on the muscle with the help of ultrasonography during fat transfer. If there is minimal to moderate sagginess or loose skin, we also perform skin tightening with Argon Plasma application in the same session. After this surgery, which usually takes around 3 hours, it is sufficient to stay in the hospital for 1-2 days. For patients coming from abroad, hotel accommodation is sufficient for an average of 6-7 days.

What to pay attention to before and after BBL surgery

BBL (brasilian butt lift) The postoperative period is at least as important as the surgery. It is very important for the patient to get up and walk 3-4 hours after the operation after eating a special light meal. Hospitalization for 1-2 days is sufficient for the necessary treatments. During hospitalization, a single dose of anticoagulant treatment should be administered on the first night. Liposuction massages should start while the drains are on the patient and as soon as they are removed. Depending on the amount of fluid coming in, it should continue for at least 2-3 weeks, 1-2 times a day at first and then 3-4 times a week. Therefore, the patient should stay at the hotel recommended by the surgeon for 6-7 days after the surgery, during which time daily nurse visits should be made and both massages and dressings should be changed. Usually, drains are removed 4-5 days after the operation and the surgeon's postoperative examination is performed. The patient can take a shower 1 day after the drains are removed, after the shower, the stitches should be sterile dried and the dressing should be changed, the postoperative dressing should be changed once every 3-4 days or during each massage, there is usually no need for dressing 2 weeks after surgery.

Lying prone for 6-8 weeks and preventing the buttocks from contacting the bed or chair is a necessity for optimal results. There is no harm in sitting with a BBL pillow.

Stage 1 faja inserted during surgery should be replaced with stage 2 faja 1 week-10 days after surgery. Again, compression, surgical foam and boards should continue to be used on the liposuction areas (preferably for 6 weeks) for body shaping and prevention of fluid accumulation. It takes 2-4 months for the postoperative edema to subside and the butt to take its final shape, sometimes up to 6 months.

In the postoperative period, diet and sports should not be done for the first 3 weeks; After 3 weeks, light sports such as walking should be done and diet should be started. For heavy sports, we should wait for the 2nd month after surgery. Sexual abstinence can also be terminated by preventing butt contact in the 4th week after surgery.
