Liposuction for Men
liposuction for men
Liposuction involves the removal of unwanted or stubborn areas of fat from specific areas of the body that do not respond to either a healthy diet or exercise.

Sometimes mistaken as a weight loss procedure – which it is not – liposuction is most appropriate for men and women who are at or near their goal weight but have fat deposits that simply don’t respond to their diet and exercise routine.

Liposuction is particularly effective in areas such as the buttocks, hips, thighs, abdomen, chin, upper arms, breasts and knees. We offer the most effective liposuction techniques, all of which are suitable for both men and women: traditional liposuction, Body Jet liposuction and laser liposuction.

What is the benefit of liposuction?

For many people, both male and female, their size and shape can cause unhappiness and insecurity, particularly if they are not responding to a healthy diet or exercise.

Liposuction is a short and highly effective procedure to achieve these changes and can deliver both an improved physical and psychological sense of wellbeing.

Different Liposuction Procedures

Traditional: A local anaesthetic is used to numb the area of your body where the tube will be inserted. Next, a large amount of an anaesthetic solution containing lidocaine and epinephrine is injected into the fatty tissue before the procedure is started.

Microliposuction: Traditional liposuction is used to remove small pockets of fat, but under local anaesthetic instead of general. This is a quick and effective method to ensure the patient has very little downtime and is back to normal as soon as possible. This method works well on areas including the chin, underarms and jawline.

Smartlipomx or Laser-Assisted Liposuction:: This technique works by liquefying fat with a laser and removing the fat with a cannula. In addition to liquefying fat, the laser also smooths and tightens the skin and seals blood vessels, reducing swelling, bleeding, and bruising.

How Liposuction for men differentiates from  liposuction for women?

Men have distinctly different issues with fatty deposits, which women do not have.

Certainly, the basic principles still apply that in general, an adult male has a distinct number and distribution of fat cells which changes little.

Therefore, the removal of fat cells changes the contour in that area for good and the overlying skin shrinks accordingly.
